Melania Advises Trump to Behave More Like a President During Rallies

President Donald J. Trump has turned a conversation about his dancing habits into another opportunity to take a swipe at former President Joe Biden, revealing that First Lady Melania Trump has repeatedly advised him to behave more presidentially while appearing before crowds.
Speaking at a political rally in Daytona Beach, Florida, on October 30, 2026, Trump recalled Melania telling him: “Darling, you’re the president. Think about other presidents. Can you imagine Joe Biden dancing on the stage?” Trump then added humorously that he could not even imagine Biden on the stage.

MELANIA WANTS A PRESIDENT, NOT A STAGE PERFORMER

According to Trump’s account, Melania has expressed reservations about his energetic performances during political rallies, particularly his habit of dancing in front of enthusiastic supporters. Apparently, the First Lady believes the presidency comes with certain expectations, and dancing around the stage may not be part of the official job description.

However, Trump seems to have a different understanding of presidential entertainment. While Melania prefers elegance and traditional presidential behaviour, her husband appears convinced that keeping the audience entertained is another important responsibility of the White House.

BIDEN BECOMES THE UNEXPECTED COMPARISON

Trump’s reference to Joe Biden quickly became the humorous highlight of his remarks. Rather than simply defending his dancing, he dragged his predecessor into the conversation, suggesting that imagining Biden performing similar dance moves would be difficult.

The comparison also reflects Trump’s familiar political style of using Biden as a target during public appearances. Even when discussing something as ordinary as dancing, the current president appears to find an opportunity to revisit his political rivalry. Meanwhile, supporters were treated to another entertaining story involving the president, his wife and his unusual interpretation of presidential behaviour.

Whether Melania eventually succeeds in convincing her husband to reduce his stage performances remains uncertain. For now, Trump appears determined to keep dancing, entertaining his supporters and reminding audiences that presidential politics can sometimes look more like a comedy show.
