Brandi Glanville is giving followers a painful look into the latest chapter of her years-long health battle, revealing several diagnoses and saying she is preparing to have a “fungal ball” removed from her face. The former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star, 53, shared the update on Instagram while describing the physical, emotional and financial toll her illness has taken.
Brandi Glanville Reveals the Conditions Doctors Have Identified
Brandi Glanville said she has been diagnosed with highly resistant ESBL Klebsiella and Enterobacter with biofilm, coccidioidomycosis, commonly known as Valley fever, Demodex dermatitis and mononucleosis. She also said she has a hard “fungal ball” in her face that needs to be surgically removed.
Brandi Glanville shared emotional footage showing the physical effects of her condition and asked people to be compassionate about her appearance. She said she feels terrible and acknowledged that the videos show some of her worst moments. She also said the condition that she believes initially affected her face has extended down her right arm after years of not receiving what she considers an accurate diagnosis.
Fungal Ball Treatment Comes as Glanville Faces More Procedures
The fungal ball is only one part of the extensive treatment plan Glanville described. She said she will undergo additional procedures involving old dental metals and breast implants and expects to face four to six months of daily IV treatment. She has previously documented lengthy IV infusions, including treatment with imipenem, while saying the regimen has made normal activities such as eating and sleeping difficult.
Glanville’s health problems have been ongoing since 2023, when she began experiencing serious facial symptoms. She has previously said she consulted 21 doctors and spent more than $200,000 seeking answers. In February 2026, she publicly attributed the problem to ruptured silicone breast implants and subsequently underwent implant removal, while later developments included the discovery of a benign facial tumor.
The financial burden remains another major concern. Glanville said her current treatments are costing between $3,300 and $6,000 per month even with insurance, and she acknowledged that she is currently unable to work normally aside from her podcast. She said she does not know how she will manage the situation mentally or financially.
Despite everything, Glanville says she intends to keep documenting the process, including the treatments and surgeries ahead. Her latest message is blunt but hopeful: she wants the illness out of her body, wants her health back and wants to feel like herself again.
