Ana Navarro, Republican strategist and political commentator, delivered a scathing critique of former Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi following Bondi’s testimony at the congressional hearing concerning the late financier Jeffrey Epstein. Navarro described Bondi’s performance as reminiscent of a “high school version of Lady Macbeth,” calling it “personally disgusting and disappointing.”
Ana Navarro, who previously socialized and worked closely with Bondi in Florida, including sharing drinks and social events, noted that the testimony contrasted sharply with the Bondi she had known. “Watching her and this performance…it was just unacceptable and a show she’s putting on for Trump,” Navarro said on The View.
Ana Navarro Highlights Bondi’s Treatment of Epstein Victims
Ana Navarro criticized Bondi for failing to acknowledge Epstein’s victims during the hearing. Navarro said the former Attorney General did not engage with women who testified that they had not been contacted by the Justice Department regarding Epstein’s sex trafficking network.
Ana Navarro emphasized that such behavior was unacceptable, stating: “She never looked at them. She never acknowledged that they were there. The very least she could have done is turn around and say, you know what? I’m sorry we haven’t contacted you. You can be at the DOJ this afternoon.”
Ana Navarro framed this conduct as part of a broader pattern in which Bondi appeared more loyal to former President Donald Trump than to the public she was supposed to serve.
Ana Navarro Questions Bondi’s Awareness and Oversight
Navarro also challenged Bondi’s statements regarding Ghislaine Maxwell, Epstein’s alleged accomplice, who had been transferred to a minimum-security facility after a meeting with Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche. Navarro highlighted that Bondi claimed she was unaware of the transfer.
Navarro stressed that such a claim reflected either dishonesty or a lack of understanding of her own department. “Girl, the Bureau of Prisons works for you! Either she’s lying or totally unaware of what’s going on inside her own department. Either explanation is cause for termination,” Navarro said.
Ana Navarro Criticizes Political Loyalty Over Public Service
Ana Navarro accused Bondi of prioritizing political loyalty over professional responsibility during the hearing. Navarro observed that Bondi focused on defending former President Trump and attacking Democrats, rather than answering substantive questions about Epstein and Maxwell.
Navarro concluded that Bondi’s performance undermined public trust in the justice system. “This woman is an absolute disgrace and an insult to the very idea of justice,” Navarro said.
Navarro Comments on Public Reaction and Implications
Navarro’s remarks mirror growing calls for accountability from officials overseeing high-profile criminal investigations. Navarro noted that Bondi’s behavior, including deflecting questions and avoiding engagement with victims, has intensified scrutiny of her tenure and political alignment.
Navarro highlighted that congressional oversight and the Justice Department face renewed pressure to address gaps in communication and accountability exposed during the Epstein-related hearings.
